Our Background

Nandi Farmers SACCO LTD formerly Nandi Hills Tea Growers SACCO was registered on 12th June, 2000 under registration No. CS/9302. The SACCO then had 128 members and a share capital of 280,000.00. The membership of the SACCO is drawn from small scale tea farmers supplying tea to specifically Eastern Produce (K) LTD, and other tea processors in Nandi County. The SACCO head quarters is located in NANDI HILLS Town. Currently, the SACCO is regulated by SASRA and is licensed to offer both FOSA and BOSA services to its members. The society has a membership of 3062 composed of individuals, VIGS and VMGs. The society has one Branch situated at Tinderet Sub-County, Maraba town. The main objective for which the society was established was to mobilize members to create savings and to create a credit facility that member's can borrow loans at reasonable rates of interest which would then enable them improve their economic status and enhance their standards of living. However, in the year 2010 the society was rebranded to its current name to serve farmers of all crops in its jurisdiction. The SACCO now serves all the farmers in Nandi County and beyond.
